Undergraduate Governance

BSU is a campus which believes in shared governance in which administrators, faculty, librarians and students collectively become active in the decision-making process.  The undergraduate governance process is comprised of four committees: the All-College Committee (ACC), Undergraduate Curriculum Committee (UCC), Academic Policies Committee (APC) and Student Affairs Committee (SAC).  The committees are responsible for making recommendations to the President with regard to academic policies and undergraduate programs and courses. 

IMPORTANT GOVERNANCE/IMPLEMENTATION DEADLINES!!   Review attached Governance/Implementation Deadlines for complete details.

Deadlines include:

      February 28, 2012 (Summer and Fall 2012 Effective Date)*

• Final governance approval deadline for all Summer and Fall 2012 new courses and course changes (see attached for details).
• Final governance approval deadline for all Fall 2012 new programs and program changes.
• Final governance approval deadline for all Fall 2012 new academic policies and policy changes.

September 30, 2011 (Spring 2012 Effective Date)

• Final governance approval deadline for all Spring 2012 new courses and course changes (see attached for details).

 

Additional Information:

 

• All new programs and program changes for Fall 2012 must be in governance by Fall 2011 to help ensure timely approval.

• All proposals are submitted to: governance@bridgew.edu

• All meetings are open to the campus community.  Please check the "meeting agendas" pages for meeting date, times and locations.
