Note: The complete Summer Grant application, including recommendation letters, must be received by Ms. Kathy Frederick, Office of Undergraduate Research, Room 200 Maxwell Library, by 4:00 PM on March 19, 2010. Late or incomplete applications will not be reviewed. Award announcements will be made in early April, 2010.

SUMMER GRANT
In addition the ATP Summer Research Grant, students will now have the opportunity to compete for a Center for Sustainability (CfS) Summer Research Grant. The CfS can fund one summer student researcher and their mentor this year. Students who apply for the CfS grant but can not be funded will automatically be considered for an ATP Summer Grant.
Please encourage interested students to
attend one or both of the ATP/Center for Sustainability [CfS] summer research
grant application workshops designed to help students put forth the best
application possible for these competitive grants:
PROGRAM OVERVIEW: On Tuesday, 9 February 2010 from 2:00 to 3:00 Students can get an overview of the ATP Summer Research Grant program and application process.
APPLICATION WORKSHOP: On Wednesday, 3 March 2010 from 2:00 to 3:00
Students intending to apply for the grant can have their application draft
reviewed by members of the ATP board in widely varied disciplines. These are
folks that know what is desired in a successful Summer Grant application.
Students receive specific suggestions for revision that can significantly
increase the chance of their applications being accepted.
