The Kente Cloth Breakfast was founded in 1999 and celebrates the academic journey of Bridgewater students of color and students that have demonstrated a deep commitment to the mission of the Center for Multicultural Affairs. Alumni, faculty, staff and the family of graduating seniors came together on May 7, 2011 to witness graduating students receiving their Kente Cloths, which are a symbol of academic achievement within the community of color. Luis Rosa '05, current president of the Afro-Am Alumni Association, was present to offer the Statement of Occasion.
