The Dr. V. James DiNardo Award for Excellence in Teaching

In 1984 this award was established by the Alumni Association in honor of Dr. V. James DiNardo, Executive Vice President Emeritus. The award is presented to a current member of the BSC faculty whose contributions include mastery of subject matter, enthusiastic teaching style, and personal attention to students. Faculty ineligible for nomination are: Part-time faculty, faculty who are currently being evaluated for tenure or promotion, faculty on sabbatical leave or leave of absence and faculty who have taught at Bridgewater State College for few then three years.

Administrators, faculty, students and alumni may nominate more than one candidate. Use a separate nomination form for each candidate. The Major Awards committee will contact you if additional information is needed. The award will be presented at the  president's Faculty Awards for Excellence ceremony.

A citation will be read to the public which describes the teaching excellence of the candidate, therefore the nominator is asked to be specific in addressing the award criteria, as this will provide the material for the citation.
