Bridgewater State University's Arts for Youth

Matt Batstone (Computer/Music Teacher): When Matt came to the realization that he is a seven year veteran of Arts for Youth, at the ripe old age of 22, about to graduate from Providence University, he decided that it was time to slow down and enjoy the finer things in life - perhaps finding time to grow a spice garden, or hone his talents in the field of squaming (squirrel taming)…..but he then came to his senses and decided to keep teaching at Arts for Youth, where he can invent creative new projects for kids who love computers, as well as design fabulously creative music workshops; where he can share with AfY campers his drumming expertise, and other worldly knowledge of music! Matt’s been playing drums and percussion for the past 13 years in innumerable musical groups, minored in music at Providence University, and by the time camp starts, Matt will have received his BA in English. This year at AfY Matt will be teaching 3 core creative computing classes, as well as computer & music workshops, and is looking forward to another great summer!
