Jim Quinn

Jim Quinn is founder and director of the Arts for Youth program.  Jim holds a BFA in Theatre Studies (Directing) from Boston University’s School of Fine Arts and an MFA from the Yale School of Drama in Theatre Administration.  An award-winning actor, Jim has directed, performed, and taught theatre for over 25 years.  He has written numerous scripts for children in collaboration with fellow playwright David Frieze, and currently serves as President of The New England Theatre Conference (NETC). Jim is an Associate Professor in the Department of Theatre Arts and Dance at Bridgewater State University, where has been teaching for the past eleven years.  Jim has offered numerous classes for Arts for Youth since its inception, including Video Production, the One-Act Play, Improvisation, and Creative Dramatics.  This summer he looks forward to offering specialized workshops in the performing arts.
