Asian Studies Program

The Asian Studies program at Bridgewater State College gives interested students the opportunity to learn about Asian societies and cultures, focusing on East Asia, South Asia, or the Middle East. Students from any discipline may choose a minor in Asian studies and take courses on at least two of the three regions. The program emphasizes the importance of understanding the history, geography, philosophy, government, sociology, and cultures of Asia in order to understand these societies. The courses and programs offered by the faculty will give students greater strengths in academic, career and professional preparation.
