The 9.0 earthquake near Sumatra, Indonesia and the resulting tsunami on December 26th have caused more than 150,000 deaths, millions homeless, and total devastation in many parts of Sumatra, southern Thailand, Sri Lanka, and southern India, as well as some smaller islands along the eastern Indian Ocean rim. We are saddened by this tragedy and will provide more information in the upcoming weeks about how the campus community can contribute or assist in the relief efforts.
