Podcast Help

What is a podcast?
A podcast is an audio file that you can download and listen to whenever you want. What makes a podcast different from a normal audio file hosted online is that you can subscribe so it will automatically download to your computer whenever a new episode of a particular show is released.

I don't have an iPod; can I still listen to the podcast?
Yes. If your computer can play mp3 files, you can click on the podcast title and play the file directly from the server or save it to your computer to play later.

How do I subscribe to a podcast?
To subscribe you will need software that supports podcasts such as iTunes.

To subscribe using iTunes, click on the 'Advanced' tag at top-left, and then click 'Subscribe to Podcast'. A box will appear and you should copy and paste this URL into it: http://www.bridgew.edu/bPod/bPod.xml

Click 'OK' to complete the subscription process. Each show will be automatically downloaded into iTunes when it is released and can be accessed by clicking 'podcasts' in the left hand navigation bar.
