Camp is August 29-September 2, 2005.
All band members, new and returning, are required to
attend and participate in these important rehearsals.

Marching Band meets during Fall Semester on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:20
to 4:35 p.m. and on football Saturday mornings. A week-long band camp
takes place exactly one week before the start of classes. Band members who will
live on campus find that getting in that week early helps acclimate them to
the campus environment as well as missing the chaos of move-in!
Hi! Welcome to Bridgewater!
I hope you are having a relaxing summer! This is an informal note to
let you know of this fall's activities for the BSC Bear Marching Band. We?re
very excited to share an excellent year of music-making!
It would help us tremendously if you would please send in the INTENT
FORM by July 30th so we can anticipate your needs. If you discover it is past
this time, please send it anyhow.
Band Camp Information: Aug. 29 - Sept. 2
Band camp is required of all BSC Marching Band members. As I imagine most of
you experienced in high school, we spend this intensive week learning and perfecting
our marching style, drills and music. All new and returning members will attend
and participate in these important rehearsals. Except for Monday, each day Tuesday-Friday
starts at 8:30 and will end at 4:30.
Lunch will be provided to all band students free of charge during band camp.
Equipment and Supplies
Students are responsible for supplying reeds, sticks, mouthpieces, etc. You
will also need your own instrument unless you play one of the larger instruments,
such as drums, tuba or baritone. It is recommended that students wear tennis
shoes to all marching rehearsals. Sandals and bare feet are not acceptable due
to the possibility of injury. Also, it is highly suggested that you bring insect
repellent, sunscreen and water.
Dorm Resident Students
If you will be living on campus during the school year, please complete and
mail in the Dorm Form by July 30. Meals and housing
will be provided to full-time dorm residents who are enrolled in marching band.
Regular Rehearsals
Starting Wednesday, Sept. 7, the marching band will rehearse at Swenson Field
on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30-4:35. On Saturdays when we have football
games we will have an additional morning rehearsal.
Fall 2005 Performances
This year, the scheduled football performances are as follows:
- Sept. 10
- Sept. 24
- Oct. 8
- Oct. 22 (homecoming game & parade)
- Nov. 5
We may also add a parade or two, depending on everyone's availability.
