"Mini-Society" Teacher Workshop at Bridgewater State College

This workshop, sponsored by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation and National Council on Economic Education, will train 25 teachers of grades 2-8 from eastern Massachusetts to encourage their students to develop and apply their entrepreneurship skills. The workshop will be offered at Bridgewater State College for three consecutive days, July 21-23, 2008, in a technology classroom in Harrington Hall, providing a total of 24 contact hours. An NCEE- certified program trainer will travel to Massachusetts to conduct the training workshop, which will be offered with the collaboration and support of Bridgewater State College and Salem State College economics professors. In addition, two local entrepreneurs will be invited to share their experiences with the teachers. Teachers will be given entrepreneurship curriculum materials, and at the conclusion of the workshop, they will be encouraged to use them in their fall classes. They will also be asked to conduct before/after assessment activities with their classes, and to share their results with trainers and other workshop participants online through Blackboard.   

 

"Making-a-Job" Teacher Workshop at Bridgewater State College

This workshop, sponsored by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation and National Council on Economic Education, will train 25 middle and high school teachers from eastern Massachusetts to encourage their students to develop and apply their entrepreneurship skills. The workshop will be offered at Bridgewater State College for three consecutive days, July 14-15, 2008, in a technology classroom in Harrington Hall, providing a total of 24 contact hours. An NCEE- certified program trainer will travel to Massachusetts to conduct the training workshop, which will be offered with the collaboration and support of Bridgewater State College and Salem State College economics professors. In addition, two local entrepreneurs will be invited to share their experiences with the teachers.
