Rondileau Campus Center Professional Staff

The Director of the Campus Center provides leadership for the Campus Center operation and its staff; provides planning and logistical support for major college events; manages the operating budget and purchase of capital equipment; coordinates hiring, training and supervision of Campus Center professional staff; and provides technical support within the department.  The Director is also responsible for implementing Social Media and emerging technology inititatives to create and sustain online learning communities, including facilitating the Democracy Plaza and Campus MovieFest programs. He serves on various University committees including Commencement, Project Review, Student Mentoring, and chairs the Student Affairs Technology Committee.

Ed earned his Masters of Science in Educational Leadership from Central Connecticut State University in 2000 and his Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Stonehill College in 1997.  He has previously worked at the University of New Hampshire in Residence Life and Student Activities; Central Connecticut State University in the Student Center and Student Activities; and at Mayer Campus Center and Student Activities (now Campus Life) Office at Tufts University in Medford, MA. He has worked at BSU since January 2006.

The Assistant Director of the Campus Center manages the daily operations of the Campus Center, with a focus on student employee recruitment, supervision, training/development, and scheduling; overseeing Campus Center Marketing areas such as RCC Blog, RCC Design, and RCC Video, as well as coordination of support services for events that take place in the building.  She serves on various University committees, including Food Services, Welcome Week, Family Orientation, the Student Affairs Professional Development and chairs the Student Affairs Sustainability Committee.

Beth earned her Masters of Arts in Communication from the University of Colorado in May 2005 and her Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Northern Colorado in May 2003.  She has previously worked at The Commons at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.  She has worked at BSU since July 2008.

Assistant Director - Rondileau Campus Center

   

The Assistant Director of the Campus Center and Auditorium Technical Director is responsible for the technical support of events at venues throughout the campus, with particular emphasis on our 1450-seat auditorium. He works with event organizers to fulfill the lighting, audio, and staging needs of their programs. In addition, he works closely with the Theater & Dance department, supervising the student construction of the production sets, as well as the safe installation & operation of lighting & audio systems. He serves on the Convocation and Commencement committees.

Mark earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts at the Kansas City [Missouri] Art Institute and has served as Technical Director at BSU since 1986.

The Commuter Services Coordinator oversees the Office for Commuter Services as well as the Commuter Services Center. She works with student employees, campus center staff members and the university community to provide programs and services to commuter students.  She chairs the Commuter Advisory Board and is also an advisor to the Commuter Student Association and the Student Government Association. She serves on the Food Service Committee, Conduct Board, as well as the Parent and Family Day Committee.

Colleen earned her Masters of Public Administration from Bridgewater State in 2005, as well as her Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2003. The Office for Commuter Services opened in August 2005 under her direction.

The Stage Technician Assists the Campus Center staff, Theater & Dance department faculty, Music department faculty, student organizations, and other college officials as required in the fulfillment of their activities and programs in the Campus Center Auditorium and stage facilities. S/he oversees day to day activities in the Rondileau Campus Center Scene Shop.

Kathy Walker

The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the Campus Center and Commuter Services Offices. Duties include providing quality customer service, office mananagement, information dissemination, budget management, and event planning. This person also oversees the operation of the Print Shop, including supervision of its Graduate Assistant and student staff as well as the Campus Center main office and its Office Assistants.

Shannon earned her Bachelors degree in Communication from Bridgewater State University in 2009 and her Associates Degree in Liberal Arts from Massasoit Community College in 2002. Her previous admistrative experiences come from Harvard University's School of Public Health, the Mayor's Office and Procurement Office in the City of Brockton.
