Part of a strong job search campaign is the use of job database systems to identify openings with organizations that fit your field and search criteria.  Career Services has compiled a list of some of our favorite job search databases to get you started.  This listing is not exhaustive and as such, we encourage you to seek out appropriate websites and resources to assist you in your search.  Job search websites are important, but only play a small part in your search.  Two-thirds of jobs never make it to posting boards, so networking (informational interviews, talking to friends and family, attending open houses & job fairs, etc.) are critical as well.  If you have questions regarding your job search, contact our office to setup a Job Search Strategies appointment.

Career Services Job Fairs, Workshops and Special Events

  • Upcoming Events Page - Listing each semester of all Career Services job fairs, workshops and special events including a link to our workshop/event registration page.

  • Internship & Job Fair - Annual career fair each fall where students and alumni can meet with recruiters to discuss full-time jobs and internships opportunities.

  • Gearing Up for the Education Job Market - This annual two-part event held in March includes a hiring managers panel discussion and a networking fair with schools in Eastern Massachusetts.

  • Annual Job Fair - Each year, Career Services sponsors a job fair in April where students and alumni can talk to recruiters about full-time professional positions post-graduation.

  • MERC - BSU is part of the Massachusetts Education Recruiting Consortium that sponsors a job fair in Boston during public school vacation week in April. Contact Career Services in March for more details.
