  • Career Services Mission Statement

    The Office of Career Services assists a diverse student body in the process of developing, evaluating and initiating their career plans.  Our primary focus is on the undergraduate student experience. Services are also provided to graduate students and alumni.

    Learning Outcomes

    Students who participate in career counseling and self assessment, career exploration, internships and career management skill building will learn:

  • To define the necessary steps in their career exploration, planning and development.
  • To identify their career related interests, skills, personality traits and work values.
  • To obtain occupational information and explore employment opportunities.
  • The importance of gaining work experience in a professional setting through an internship or experiential learning opportunity.
  • To use tools to gain career-related experience prior to graduation and to develop post graduation plans.
  • To develop professional communication skills through appropriate resume writing, interviewing, workplace communication and
        career management skills.
  • How to evaluate their options with regard to pursuit of graduate or professional school for further education.
  • A variety of job search strategies to achieve position(s) in their desired field.
  • To manage their lifelong career development.
  • As a member of the National Association of Colleges and Employers, (NACE), Bridgewater State University's Career Services Office adheres to NACE's Principles of Professional Practice.

    Wheelchair access to the Rondileau Campus Center is available from the back entrance adjacent to the water fountains.

    *There are no steps on this route and there is an elevator should you want to proceed to other locations within the building.  Many of our major events and workshops are held in the ballroom and/or the Crimson and White Room (209). Please contact Career Services if you  have any questions.
