Senior Recruiting Program Contract and Release
Form
Bridgewater State University-Career Services
Office
I,
________________________, fully understand the responsibilities and expectations
associated with participating in the Senior Recruiting Program as detailed in my
Senior Recruiting Program Orientation appointment and Informational Packet and
agree to adhere to the following guidelines:
- I understand that by submitting
materials such as my resume through the CareerLink system and Senior
Recruiting Program that I authorize Career Services to release my resume and
supporting materials to organizations for consideration of employment.
- I confirm that all
information that I provide through resumes, letters, transcripts and in
interviews is totally factual and truthful. Misinformation is considered
unethical behavior and is cause for revocation of recruiting privileges.
- I will provide Career
Services with my primary email address via CareerLink and understand that this
is the primary means of communication for Senior Recruiting.
- I will have my resume critiqued by
Career Services and will upload it to activate my CareerLink
account for participation in Senior Recruiting programs.
- I understand that it is my
responsibility to keep an updated resume on my CareerLink account to be a part
of the Resume Referral Program.
- I am aware that resume
submission deadlines for the On-Campus Interviewing Program are advertised on
the CareerLink site and that resumes are due by 11:59 p.m. on the advertised
deadline dates.
- I understand the importance of
being prepared, on time and properly attired for all interviews.
- I understand and appreciate the
time of an employer who recruits with BSU. I will read job
descriptions thoroughly and research potential employers. I will only
submit resumes to companies I am truly interested in and if selected for an
interview, will sign-up for and attend it.
- If I accept an interview
with an organization and sign-up for an interview time, I am required to take
the interview. Failure to cancel a scheduled interview at least one business
day in advance will be viewed as a "no-show" and my access to OCI and Senior
Recruiting Programs will be suspended. Reinstatement of access will be at the
discretion of the Director of Career Services and written apology to the
recruiter is required and a copy submitted to Career Services.
- If I must cancel an
interview due to an illness or emergency situation, I will contact Career
Services at 508-531-1328 at least 24 hours before my interview or as soon
as possible (NO EMAILS for Cancellations!). A note of apology must be
sent to the recruiter and a copy submitted to the Career Services Office.
- If the university is closed for any
reason, On-Campus Interviews or Career Fairs will be rescheduled or canceled
at the organization's discretion.
- I understand that Career Services
has the right to remove poor quality resumes and letters before sending to
an organization without notifying me ahead of time. It is my responsibility
to have my resume and cover letter critiqued by a Career Services counselor
prior to uploading it into CareerLink.
- I will only accept a job
offer if I am absolutely positive that I plan to work for that
company/organization. If I have questions regarding a job offer or salary, I
will make an appointment with the Career Services Office.
- Once I accept a position, I
will end my job search and inform all other parties with whom I have interviews,
as well as Career Services, of my decision.
- I will conduct myself in a manner
that will reflect well not only on myself, but Bridgewater State University
as well.
- I understand that the Career
Services Office provides me with services and opportunities to help me find
employment; they are not a placement service. The Career Services Office also
makes no promises or guarantees that participation in these programs or services
will guarantee employment.
- I understand that if I have
any questions or concerns in regards to any of the mentioned Senior Recruiting
programs, that it is my responsibility to contact the Career Services Office and
consult with a counselor.
