Additional Application Requirements

Admission requirements vary by program.  Please review the following list as well as the entrance exam list, the personal statement list, and the letter of recommendation list to ensure you submit the appropriate supporting credentials.  Please send the additional materials directly to the College of Graduate Studies with the applicant's first and last name on each item. 
 

All Education Programs

Accelerated Post Baccalaureate (APB) Program

Master of Art in English, Creative Writing

  • Applicants must also submit a creative writing sample. Poets should submit 10-12 poems. Prose writers should submit between 20 and 40 pages of fiction or creative fiction.
     

Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Master of Science in Accountancy (MSA)

  • Resume
     

MEd in Educational Leadership, Post-Master in Educational Leadership or Post-Bacc in Educational Leadership

  • Document indicating the area of licensure you are seeking: Principal/Assistant Principal, Superintendent/Assistant Superintendent, Special Education Administrator, School Business Administrator, Supervisor/Director
     

Master of Public Administration (MPA)

Master of Science in Athletic Training

Master of Science in Physical Education

  • Additional Requirement: If you are a teacher or administrator, list all licenses currently held and send a copy of your license(s) to the College of Graduate Studies. Indicate field, level, type and date of issuance.

  • Additional Requirement: Documentation of Licensure form, found at http://www.bridgew.edu/sogs/gradadmissions.cfm Licensure form.
     

Master of Social Work (MSW)

  • Resume

  • Document listing your employment record chronologically with the most recent first. Indicate the position, employer name and address, and the dates of employment. You may include unpaid, education-related experiences.
     

Master of Social Work (MSW) Advanced Standing

  • One of your three references must come from your field supervisor

  • Summary Statement of Field Experience to include:

  1. The social work models and/or theories and approaches you used.

  2. A discussion of a case example in which you used a social work model or theory to facilitate your understanding of the case, to guide an intervention, and/or develop a treatment plan. Please remember to keep all identifying information confidential.

  3. An assessment of your learning to date, a statement of your learning goals, and the challenges you anticipate encountering in an advanced clinical placement.
