Students who wish to apply for an Assistantship, Research Assistantship or
Fellowship should complete the appropriate application form and submit it
to the College of Graduate Studies. It is recommended that students apply to be
considered for an assistantship/fellowship when they apply for admission to
their program at Bridgewater. Assistantship applicants must be admitted with a
clear admit status into a graduate degree program before being hired as an
assistant/fellow. Undergraduate/graduate five-year program students are not
eligible for assistant/fellow positions.
Students should be aware that academic and
administrative departments do not receive approval for funding of GAs, GRAs or
GWFs until June. Contact between departments and applicants usually does not
occur until after June when approvals are sent. Applications are accepted
yearly, as positions open in the fall and spring semesters. Applications that
are not placed into a position are shredded on March 1st. Students who wish to
be reconsidered for the next academic year must reapply.
By downloading, completing and submitting an application below, a student has agreed that they have read the Graduate Student Assistantship/Fellowship Handbook. Students are responsible for all information and guidelines within the handbook.
