Post Master's in School Counseling (PreK-8) Program

This Post Master's Certificate program is designed for those individuals holding a master's degree in a Counseling related field and plan to seek initial licensure as a School  Counselor (PreK-8) in the state of Massachusetts. by the Department of Education.  Students must fulfill the requirements of the 51 credit School  Counseling Program using courses from their already completed master's degree and with additional courses taken from the list below.

Advanced Applied Counseling - School Counselor: (PreK-8) (100 hours)  Prerequisites: CNGC 528, CNSG 516, CNSG 524, CNGC 520, and an application approved by the Director of Fieldwork and Training

CNSG571 Practicum:  School Counselor (PreK-8) (Total of 600 hours; 12 credits*) Prerequisite: CNGC 529, CNSG 523, CNSG 515, CNSG580 and an application approved by the Director of Fieldwork and Training*Variable credit (3-9 credits; 150-450 hours per semester)
