Maxwell Library

The Maxwell Library (ext. 1256, http://www.bridgew.edu/library/) has books, journals, videos and other materials for use by students, faculty, staff, and community members. The Reference department also provides library instruction for classes at the request of the instructor. Faculty, staff and students may also receive one-on-one library instruction. Patrons can request library instruction at the reference desk or fill out a form online at http://www.bridgew.edu/Library/dds.cfm.

You may reserve materials for your class using the web-based forms at http://www.bridgew.edu/Library/reserves.cfm.

Document Delivery, or interlibrary loan (http://www.bridgew.edu/Library/dds.cfm), is a service provided to students, faculty and staff. Patrons may request books, journal articles, videos, DVDs, audio cassettes, and material in other formats by filling out a form at the Document Delivery office or online at http://www.bridgew.edu/Library/ddsfrm.cfm

Faculty may check out books for a period of four months and may have up to 50 books out at a time. Faculty also may use the staff photocopier located at the circulation desk to make copies of non-circulating materials for class (limit one article or chapter).

Library resources are available off campus for faculty, students, and staff, but only to those who have registered for a BSU e-mail account. To use the library from home, you will need to log into your BSU account.

Parking

Faculty and librarians may obtain a parking sticker to park in designated areas. You can obtain the sticker from the Parking and Decal Office located on the ground floor of the Hunt Building. Bring a copy of your automobile registration. For parking rules and regulations, see http://www.bridgew.edu/PSCC/ParkingServices.cfm.

Getting Around Campus by Bus

The Office of Transportation Services coordinates the bus service on campus as well as other services (http://www.bridgew.edu/Transportation/). The bus schedule is at http://www.bridgew.edu/Transportation/ShuttleSchedule.cfm.

Commuter Rail Schedule

Bridgewater and the stop on the BSU campus are served by the Middleborough/Lakeville line of the MBTA Commuter Rail to South Station in downtown Boston. Schedules are available at http://www.mbta.com.

Dining Services

There are several dining halls on campus that are available to faculty and librarians: the East Campus Commons Dining Facility, the Commuter Cafeteria in the Campus Center on West Campus, the Bridgewater Dining Room in the Campus Center, and Flynn Dining Commons. East Campus Commons also has a Dunkin' Donuts outlet. For more information, see http://www.bridgew.edu/FoodServices/diningdesc.cfm.
