Procedures and criteria for faculty evaluation, reappointment, promotion, tenure, and post-tenure review are specified by the MSCA Contract. Questions may be directed to the MSCA representative, whose contact information is available on the website of the Bridgewater chapter of the MSCA, http://www.gis.net/~bridgew/.
The dates for all procedures for faculty evaluation, reappointment, promotion, and tenure are given in the Personnel Calendar (Word document) maintained by Academic Affairs.
Blank forms for faculty evaluation procedures are at http://www.bridgew.edu/Depts/AcAffairs/frequently_used_forms.cfm.
Student evaluations are required for day classes at BSC. Conditions and restrictions are provided in Article VIII of the faculty contract.
Evening classes are evaluated differently from day classes. Toward the end
of the semester, a packet of student evaluation forms will be delivered to you.
You may have a student administer these evaluations and return them to the department’s
Continuing Education or Graduate Coordinator. Evaluations of summer classes
are the same as for evening classes.
