The BSC Lifetime Faculty Research Award will be presented to a full-time Bridgewater State College faculty member or librarian in the Spring of 2010. The awardees will receive a plaque and a check for $5,000.
This award is intended to honor distinction in academic research achieved over the span of an individual's career at Bridgewater State College. Evidence of distinction includes such accomplishments as published books, extensive refereed journal articles, and/or some other form of official national or international recognition. A committee consisting of the dean of each school, the director of libraries, the provost & vice president for academic affairs, and the associate vice president for academic affairs will make a recommendation to the president.
Nominations and applications for this award should be submitted by February 1, 2010 to your school dean or director of libraries. Nominations/applications should include a synopsis of research accomplishments and copies of relevant published works. Recipients of this award are not also eligible for the Class of 1950 Distinguished Faculty Research Award in the same year.
