The Class of 1950 Distinguished Faculty Research Award

The Class of 1950 Distinguished Faculty Research Award will be presented to a full-time Bridgewater State University member or librarian in the Spring of 2012.  This award was created through an endowment established by members of the Class of 1950 on the occasion of their 50th reunion.  The awardee will receive a plaque and a check for $5,000.

The award recognizes single works of scholarship/creative activity published or presented during the previous year (September 1 through August 31 of the year prior to application or nomination).  A committee consisting of the four College Deans, the Director of Library Services, the CART Coordinators, the previous year's Presidential Fellow(s), the Executive Assistant to the President, and the Associate Provost for Faculty Affairs will make a recommendation to the Provost and President.

Nominations and applications for this award should be submitted by Friday, January 18, 2013 to the Office of Academic Affairs, 104 Boyden Hall.  Nominations/applications should include a 2-3 page synopsis of the research project, citing any funding sources and concrete products of the research, as well as a copy of the work itself.  If you have any questions about the award, the conditions for eligibility, or the submission requirements, please contact Ann Brunjes at abrunjes@bridgew.edu or x 2564.
