Earth Science Club

HOT!! HOT!! HOT!!   SPRING BREAK 2010 TRIP!!!

The Earth Science Field Excursion class is offering a 3 credit course  to the Yukatan Penninsula during the first 2 weeks of January 2010. All students and members of the BSC community are welcome to join us on this trip. Students should register for this course during spring registration to avoid any extra tuition charges. The formal brochure may be viewed on the International Studies webpage and registration is now open to the first 15 student that sign up in the office of International Studies.  Estimated cost per student is $1700. includes travel, transportation, hotel, and guide. *Passport is needed*  Come and experience the culture of Mayan Mexico, sample regional cooking, bargain in Mayan markets, visit spectacular Mayan Ruins, explore: tropical forests, salt deposits, cenotes (sinkholes), snorkel coral reefs, and collect fossils. General Information
The Earth Science Club would like to invite new members. This is an active club that organizes field trips and a lecture series each semester. Earth Science majors and all students with an interest in earth science are welcome.  If you would like to be added to the Earth Sciences Club e-mail list, please contact Julie Robsham at jrobsham@bridgew.edu. This will ensure that you are kept informed about upcoming outings, trips, and other events, if you are not able to attend the meetings. Also check this web site for up to date information. We are starting to plan our Fall, 2009 lecture series, fund-raising events, and our annual spring break trip. The club officers for 2009-2010 are Julie Robsham (President).
