If you are pursuing a career in higher education, then the Master
of Education in Educational Leadership program at Bridgewater
State College will help you further develop your leadership
skills. Although the program is
primarily geared toward K-12 administrative careers, my
professors encouraged me to utilize my almost 20 years of
higher education experience and apply it to the models,
theories, and concepts I learned in this program.
Interacting with my classmates who were actively involved in K-12 and their exposure to my experience in higher education made for an interesting exchange of ideas and understanding of where students are and where they are going. I particularly enjoyed the research projects-which I believe have prepared me well to pursue further studies at the doctoral level - Nanette Baines |

I spent four years in the classroom as a sixth grade Math teacher while I worked on my Master's at Bridgewater State. I chose Educational Leadership because I wanted a challenging program that would prepare me to give back to my community. The creative schedule of the program afforded me time within my busy schedule as a middle school Math teacher to complete my program in two years. The opportunity to participate in the Educational Leadership program has enriched me with the knowledge, skills, and dispositions of an effective school administrator that help me to confidently run my school. |

As an alumni of I found the weekend schedule accommodating, allowing me to keep connected with my family. The course requirements, though thorough, were not overwhelming and permitted me to keep up with my work obligations. These work is reflected in my application of the principles of school administration in my current position as a school administrator. The professors were either current administrators or former administrators who brought their knowledge and personal leadership experiences to the program. I highly recommend the Educational Leadership program at Bridgewater State - Marilyn Smith |
