Massachusetts Math and Science Partnership (MMSP)

The MMSP grant is funded through Federal NCLB and Massachusetts DOE funding sources.  Targeted teachers include middle school mathematics teachers (grades 4-8) who have not yet met the state definition of “highly qualified” or have a need for increased mathematics content as determined by their district.  Teachers who participate in the MMSP grant courses are eligible for up to six (6) credits of graduate level coursework which, if interested, can be transferred into the MAT in Mathematics program.  The cost of the course as well as materials (including text books) is covered by the grant.  There is a $50.00 non-refundable registration fee required.

Welcome to the MMSP Mathematics Improvement Partnership

The goal of this program is to establish a formal consortium arrangement among the school districts of Brockton, Fall River, the Cape Cod Collaborative, and North River Collaborative, with Bridgewater State College (BSC), Bristol Community College (BCC), and Cape Cod Community College (CCCC) to strengthen the teachers’ knowledge of middle school math content and pedagogy.  The end result is expected to be improved student achievement by up to 30,000 Grades 4-8 students in 25 school districts.
