Continuing and Distance EducationContinuing and Distance Education Information Session August 19thThis information session has been created especially for prospective transfer students, including non-degree Bridgewater students, who are interested in applying to Bridgewater State College as an undergraduate evening student. Institute for Regional DevelopmentIRD Provides Valuable Workshops to Municipal GovernmentsIn partnership with the Institute for Regional Development, Professor Jodie Drapal Kluver, political science, has developed a model for municipal training. She has presented her workshop to towns across Southeastern Massachusetts, including Chatham, Kingston, Norwell and the City of Taunton. Titled "Creating the Customer/Citizen Experience," the workshop focuses on training municipal staff to reflect and understand their own predispositions in relation to serving the public. Additionally, participants are encouraged to explore how their own perceptual differences affect the work they do. To learn more please click here. |
Professional DevelopmentThe Business Breakfast Series featuring Vicki Donlan on April 22, 2008 has been Postponed for the spring semester.
Introduction to Publisher: June 11, 2008
This course introduces the student to desk top publishing. Included topics are: working with text frames, using Word Art, understanding the drawing tools, inserting pictures, grouping objects, adding borders and border art. Actual publications are produced in class, including a business card, a customized calendar, and a two page newsletter. To register please click here.
