Bridgewater State College manages 1.5 million square-feet of built space. Residence Halls make up 1/2 million square-feet. The other space consists of academic classroom instruction and research space, faculty and staff offices, dining halls, conference rooms, and administrative and support spaces.
As one of the College's largest assets, the management of our space is of critical importance. To assist in these efforts, staff utilize Archibus FM for management and AutoCAD for planning.
Archibus/FM is a facilities management software
that maintains a database of all space and employees on Campus, which is
used to create a central occupancy survey of all campus buildings.
Facilities Management and Planning uses this tool to develop campus space
use standards, as well as for future planning opportunities.
Kathleen Finkle, our Staff Assistant, serves as the primary maintainer of
the campus-wide occupancy survey, including room surveys and documenting
data using computer-aided drafting software. She also assists with
various campus construction projects, including helping with the relocation
of faculty and staff and the ordering and installation of furniture
and equipment. If you have any questions, please call the office at (508)
531-2750.
