IMPORTANT GOVERNANCE DEADLINES!

ATTACHMENT: Implementation Deadlines

The college community now has a calendar of specific dates by which governance proposals need to be approved for publication and implementation. 06/07-039 and 06/07-G027 Administrative Deadlines were passed through governance last December and April respectively and will go into effect this fall semester (see attached). As a result, everyone should have a better sense of when to begin working on proposals and when proposals must be fully approved by ACC or GEC and signed by the President.

In summary, upcoming deadlines include:

*February 28, 2010 (Summer and Fall 2010 Effective Date)

  • Final governance approval deadline for all Summer and Fall 2010 new courses and course changes (see attached for details).
  • Final governance approval deadline for all Fall 2010 new programs and program changes.
  • Final governance approval deadline for all Fall 2010 new academic policies and policy changes.

September 30, 2009 (Spring 2011 Effective Date)

  • Final governance approval deadline for all Spring 2011 new courses and course changes (see attached for details).

All new programs and program changes for Fall 2010 must be in governance by Fall 2009 to help ensure timely approval.
