In case of an emergency, call 911 from a Bridgewater State College (BSC) phone, to reach the BSC Campus Police.
Calling 911 from a cell phone connects to the Massachusetts State Police in Framingham.
BSC Campus Police will respond to on-campus 911 call and assess the situation. When necessary, BSC Campus Police will arrange ambulance transport to the Brockton Emergency Room. Students are encouraged discuss transport with family and friends.
For non-emergency health concerns:
Nights, weekends and holidays: Call the Campus Police at x 1212 or (508) 531-1212.
If a student is ill, the BSC Campus Police will respond to assess the situation. It is not an emergency but the student requires timely treatment, the BSC Campus Police will call the local taxi service to transport the student to a local clinic, physician, or the ER. Health Services will pay for the transport to and from the facility. Students are encouraged discuss transport with family and friends.

Taxi transportation for student illness must be determined by Health Services and/or the Campus Police. Transportation will only be provided in the absence of transportation alternatives by family and /or friends. Bridgewater State College does not provide transportation for student-scheduled physician appointments.
Taxi transportation is provided as an option for severe, though non-emergency sickness, during hours that Health Services is closed.
