Annual Events:
The following events are free to all Honors students.

Fall Book Club - Every Fall (typically the last Saturday in September), Honors students and faculty come together for a full day of events related to a particular book. The day starts off with a complimentary breakfast followed by discussion groups led by faculty facilitators from different departments. After a complimentary lunch, students sign up to attend two faculty-led themed discussions of their choice. The day ends with a complimentary ice-cream bar. Books and meals are provided free of charge. Students who sign up and attend the event receive a one-credit waiver towards their 12 Commonwealth credit requirements. Click the Fall Book Club link for a listing of our previous book selections.

Honors Dinner - Honors Dinners are hosted by the Honors Program every semester. Attendees include Honors students, Honors Faculty, and Administrators. The speaker is the recipient of the Honors Outstanding Faculty Award, an award created to honor those faculty members who have significantly shaped and influenced the lives of students in the Honors Program. The recipient of the award is nominated by students and chosen by a small committee consisting of both faculty and students. Click here to see Outstanding Faculty Award Recipients.

Honors Thesis Workshop - Every spring, a thesis workshop is held where students currently working on their theses offer advice to students who are preparing to start their theses. Students find the workshop helpful and it provides them with much needed support and encouragement. Refreshments are typically served.
