Activity 1

Take a virtual trip to Plimoth Plantation where you will be “The Historian.” Listen and read about the English Colonists and the Wampanoag and explore how their lives were the same and different. When you are through, use the paper provided by your teacher to write a complete sentence about 1 new thing you learned about the Pilgrims or the Wampanoag. This is your "Ticket out the door." This activity will earn you 10 points.

Activity 2

Just like us, the Pilgrims and the Wampanoag lived in New England; Southeastern Massachusetts to be exact. Although they lived close to one another, in the area of Plymouth, the English Colonists and the Wampanoag lived very different lives. Our lives are even more different than theirs were in the 1600s.

Activity 3

The life you lead today has some similarities, and many differences from the life an English child led in 1620 Plymouth. After reading Sarah Morton's Day and Samuel Eaton's Day by Kate Waters, reflect on all you do during your day. Using Microsoft PowerPoint create a mini-book all about your day.  Begin with the morning and write a few sentences about what you do as you travel through your typical day. Each slide or page should be one part of your day and it should read in order. Please use ClipArt to illustrate each page. Use the rubric provided by your teacher as a guide. Your teacher will also have an example book for you to follow.
