The Pilgrims, Wampanoag, and Me Curriculum Web

This WebQuest is designed for third grade students to study the relationship between the Pilgrims and the Wampanoag, as well as their daily life and basic history. This curriculum web will take them on a journey through WebQuests and activities that help them understand the precarious relationship between the two cultures as well as comparing and contrasting their lifestyles to our life today. This unit integrates 3rd grade Social Studies standards, with ELA and Instructional Technology.
To complete this curriculum web students will:
1. Take a virtual trip to Plimoth Plantation and record one new thing they learned about the two cultures.
2. Follow a WebQuest and complete a worksheet comparing and contrasting the lives of the Pilgrims, Wampanoag and themselves.
3. Create a PowerPoint mini book about their day based on the format of the books Sarah Morton’s Day and Samuel Eaton’s Day.

Evaluation:
Each individual activity will be evaluated and the total points will be transferred to a final evaluation for one overall grade.
