The Graduate Certificate in Instructional Technology Program offers Educational Technology Integration Professional Development Program

 

Graduate Certificate Program:

This 12-credit certificate program is designed to meet the needs of professionals from a variety of backgrounds. Current students include preK-12 teachers who want to learn how to better use technology in their classrooms, higher education instructional technologists who want to train faculty members on how to design or manage their courses online, and managers/trainers who want to learn how to design training curriculum. Upon completion of the 12-credit program, students are awarded a graduate certificate in Instructional Technology by the School of Graduate Studies.

Applicants must meet the below criteria in order to be admitted into the Graduate Certificate program by the School of Graduate Studies and the School of Education and Allied Studies.

·         Completed Graduate Certificate application (no fee required)

·         Current resume

·         Official transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate course work

 

Admission decisions to the Graduate Certificate program are made on rolling basis.

 

Students must complete the following courses in the Graduate Certificate program:

 

*INST 509 Foundations of Instructional Technology                                 3 credits

 

Students select three (3) of the below seven (7) courses:

 

*INST 522 Instructional Design         

*INST 523 Information Access and the Internet    

 INST 524 Technology Leadership  

*INST 526 Making Connections: Networking

*INST 529 Assistive Technology       

 INST 525 Emergent Technology and Learning Environments    

 INST 552 Multimedia for Educators

Upon successful completion of the Graduate Certificate program, students may apply to the Post baccalaureate program or Master of Education Degree program in Instructional Technology. No application fee is required.
