International Student Testimonials
Yunxiang (Maggie) Li- China

Two years ago, I came to BSU through a one-year exchange program. I fell in love with the welcoming campus, helpful offices, such as International Student Services and knowledgeable professors right away. Therefore, I decided to come back to pursue my masters degree.
ISS a treasure for international students where I can find almost every service I need, such as immigration status, information about on and off campus employment, pre-arrival and re-entry information, and various informational workshops. Thanks to ISS, I never feel lonely being in a country which is so far away from my home. It was more like my second family in the United States, composed of dear international students. The office always organizes cultural activities that engage international students, as well as natives.
These events make me feel like a celebrity sometimes: People come to talk to me and want to know more about my lifestyle and culture. In addition to that, ISS also arranges some fun trips to places in around Boston area, or even further to New York. The office does not only help me better understand the practical benefits of my time abroad, but also provides me large amounts of great resources that I can share with others.

International Student Services is your second home at Bridgewater State
University. Once you join BSU you become part of this family. ISS family
does not offer advices related to your legal status only, they are devoted
to make your life easier and enrich your experience here at BSU and the
United States in general.
Moreover, ISS staff believes that knowledge is not just what you learn from your classes or text books, that's why they arrange and host extracurricular activities that benefit international students the most. ISS gave me a great opportunity to develop my leadership skills, by becoming one of their International Orientation Leaders. I am very honored to be part of this family that made my experience at BSU unforgettable.
