International Student Services (ISS) is committed to providing high quality services and programs to international students and scholars. We assist with maintenance of immigration status, on- and off-campus employment, pre-arrival and re-entry information, and conduct various informational workshops. ISS supports smooth transitions to the American way of life and education by organizing a specialized orientation for students and scholars each semester.
We also office many different cultural programs and opportunities for engagement with the campus, the community, and the region. Our mission is to enhance the educational experiences of our students and scholars and facilitate positive growth opportunities while continuing to evolve as a global community.
The information in this handbook has been compiled in the hope that it will be of use to international students at BSU. The information is by no means complete or comprehensive; it is intended to be used in conjunction with the University Catalog, appropriate student handbooks and other university publications. We encourage you to read it and familiarize yourself with its contents. It will answer many of your questions and save you time and effort.
