Limitations

Many factors can influence classroom performance such that the exemplary practices and assessments involved in this experimental research examine many but not all of the abilities and aptitudes that may have had an impact on a student's reading/writing development.  It is important to note that reading-writing development is an ongoing process.  The results reported here were derived from the exemplary practices and assessments that were administered at this time.  The small sample number and short duration period to conduct the study would be considered limitations.  A study with a larger sample and longer time period may result in more comprehensive understanding of the reading-writing connection.  Conducting this same study at a further date may or may not yield the same results.
