A Brief Introduction

    I have been the K - 12 Social Studies Coordinator for the Plymouth Public Schools for five years.  Prior to my current  position, I was part of the Watertown Public Schools as the K-5 Social Studies Specialist.  My teaching experience began in 1978 as a social studies / language arts teacher at Sacred Heart Junior High and in 1983 I became a seventh grade social studies teacher for the Plymouth Public Schools.

    My undergraduate degree is from Stonehill College in Sociology, and my Master's Degree is in Public Affairs from the University of Massachusetts/Boston.  I have also been  trained by National Geographic as a Teacher Consultant.

    Currently I am the President-Elect of the Massachusetts Council for the Social Studies and President of the Southeastern Massachusetts Geography Network, part of the Massachusetts Geographic Alliance.
