Learning Strategies Database

Regional Educational Laboratories
The Regional Educational Laboratories are educational research and development organizations supported by contracts with the U.S. Education Department, Office of Educational Research and Improvement (OERI). Each of the 10 Regional Educational Laboratories has a designated specialty area in which it takes national leadership.

E-Journals

The following e-journals and newsletters are available for free over the Internet. Many sites do not archive issues of their journals, and once an issue is taken off the Web, you may no longer be able to retrieve it.

CSRD Connections (SEDL newsletter)
Published by the Southwest Educational Development Laboratory. This newsletter is dedicated to issues related to the Comprehensive School Reform Demonstration (CSRD) program, and provides articles about implementation of school reform programs.

Education Policy Analysis Archives
This is a peer-reviewed journal of education policy topics published by the College of Education at Arizona State University. Features abstracts and full text articles.

Education Week
Published by Editorial Projects in Education Inc. Its primary mission is to help raise the level of awareness and understanding among professionals and the public of important issues in American education.

Associated with Education Week. A national magazine that covers K-12 education.

Teacher Talk
Teacher Talk is published by the Center for Adolescent Studies at the School of Education, Indiana University, Bloomington, IN. It is a publication for preservice and secondary education teachers that exists as a series of World Wide Web documents.

Academy Curriculum Exchange
The Curriculum Exchange is an area where teachers can find a variety of lesson plans. The original group of 700 lesson plans came from the Columbia Education Center’s Summer Workshops. These lessons were done by a consortium of teachers from 14 states dedicated to improving the quality of education in the rural, western, United States, particularly the quality of math and science education. These lesson plans are available with permission from Big Sky Telegraph, which distributed these lesson plans
