This site is a valuable central resource, formed by the merger of the HIV/AIDS Clinical Trials Information Service (ACTIS) and the HIV/AIDS Treatment Information Service (ATIS), which has combined information on HIV clinical trials and treatment, including experimental drugs and other therapies, for patients, their families, health care providers, and researchers.

American Board of Medical Specialties' CertifiedDoctor Verification
Search to see whether your doctor is certified by one of the 24 ABMS medical boards. You may also search for names of doctors in your area with particular specialties.

American Hospital Directory
The directory provides on-line data for over 6,000 hospitals. Its information database is built from Medicare claims data, cost reports, and other public use files obtained from the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS, formerly HCFA). The "Free Services" site allows users to serach for hospitals by name or geographic area.

American Medical Association
The AMA's official Web page, which includes a directory of medical societies by state, press releases, and other medical resources on the Internet.

Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs
Accredits programs representing 18 allied health professions recognizing over 1900 allied health education programs in more than 1300 institutions. These institutions include universities and colleges, academic health centers, junior and community colleges.

Mental Health Information Network (MHIN) of Metro Boston
This site is made available via a three year NLM Information Systems Grant funded by the National Library of Medicine (NLM).
