David and Art have been leading educators in the field of physics at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell for many years. Together they have been instrumental in creating a support system for high school physics teachers called the Lowell Regional Physics Alliance. This alliance has provided opportunities for networking and sharing between the high school and college levels. David and Art have also developed a three year graduate program for teachers called Project Update. Its purpose is to provide contemporary insights into traditional physics curriculum. These two individuals have worked diligently to change and improve the quality of physics education.
