Morton M. Sternheim has had an outstanding career in Physics education. His awards and publications are numerous. Most of us know Mort through the efforts he has made to improve education in our state. He was very influential in PALMS and for the last five years has been the director of STEMTEC (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, Teacher Education Collaborative). So many of us are better teachers because of our contact with Mort in his various institutes. His interest and kindness to all his students is well known and he has done so much to bridge the gap between the university and other teaching levels in our state.
