In addition to being a Presidential Award winner, Marilyn has also received the NSTA's Distinguished Teaching Award. According to her nominator, "Marilyn's commitment to excellence in science teaching and improving opportunities for all students certainly transcends her work at Hawthorne Brook Middle School. She is a truly exemplary middle level science educator." Marilyn has been a constant contributor and leader in many state and national programs.
