How to Register

Where applicable for AP courses, participants have the option of registering for an (EXPERIENCED) or a (NEW) section. Courses marked Experienced are geared towards AP teachers with three or more years of experience teaching that particular AP course. Courses marked New are for AP teachers with two or fewer years of experience teaching that particular AP course. Note: these course designations do not reflect the number of years a teacher has spent in the classroom, but rather the number of years the teacher has spent teaching that specific AP course. In addition, participants have the option of selecting which week to attend.

*Please note, registering for the summer institute secures your spot to attend but does not earn you graduate credit. Students interested in receiving graduate credit should go to the second tab titled “GRADUATE CREDIT” and follow the directions outlined there.

PLEASE NOTE: not all courses are available both weeks.

Please click here to register for the 2023 Summer Institute.

Participants participating in the 2023 Summer Institute are eligible to request graduate credit upon their completion of the week-long classes run by Mass Insight Education. The cost for 3 graduate credits from Bridgewater State University which corresponds with the MIE Summer Institute offerings completed is $300. Participants seeking graduate credits will be expected to attend and complete the Summer Institute in full, and may be expected to complete additional coursework before and/or after the Summer Institute. Participants should review the course syllabus or speak with their instructor to receive additional information on course expectations and requirements for graduate credit seekers.

**Participants seeking graduate credit must officially register before the conclusion of their respective week-long session (Register for Session I courses by 7/21 or Register for Session II by 7/28). No exceptions will be granted beyond the stated deadline above.

***Please note, graduate credit can only be earned once for the same exact topic/level (i.e. a student can only receive credit once for Teaching A.P. Chemistry-New Teachers)

***Please note, credits/grades earned are part of a student's Bridgewater State University academic record and cannot be removed for any reason once officially listed.

The steps to register for graduate credit are below:

Step 1: Complete the Graduate Non-Degree Application

Students starting non-degree course(s) for the Summer 2023 term, should click here for the Graduate Non-Degree application (https://www.bridgew.edu/grad-non-degree).
