The RiverNet Watershed Access Lab

The Bridgewater State College RiverNet Watershed Access Lab Project supports projects for professional development of watershed educators. Teachers participating in the Watershed Access Lab (WAL) courses learn to use current technology for water quality and land use assessment.

Participants from schools in Southeastern Massachusetts can bring their student teams to the WAL to use lab facilities for their watershed investigation.  They are also able to check out equipment from the WAL to use on their school-based Watershed Initiative project.

This classroom/laboratory is currently being used by the RiverNet Watershed Access Lab project for local teachers and community volunteer watershed monitoring groups. Support for this lab has been provided by the Raytheon Company and the National Science Foundation (NSF). For information on WAL professional development programs, contact Dr. Kevin Curry at kcurry@bridgew.edu
