Bridgewater's campus was the scene of the annual AutumnFest celebration, where hundreds of campus and community members enjoyed fun activities while raising $1,500 for a local charity.
"AutumnFest this year was a great success, with more vendors and more people than ever attending the event, and the weather was beautiful," said
Susan McCombe, director of University and Community Partnerships.
The all-day event raised $1,500 for Bridgewater Business Association's charity fund, which provides families with fuel assistance and helps cover other expenses. "It's important for Bridgewater to partner on this event and do what we can to give back to the community," said Ms. McCombe. "It was a great day with a great sense of accomplishment felt by everyone involved."
A number of community service organizations set up information booths on the Boyden Hall quadrangle, and there were plenty of activities for families to enjoy. Among the many volunteers who contributed their time and effort were several dozen BSU students. (Story by David K. Wilson, '71; photos by Sophia Bakas, '11, Office of Institutional Communications)
