Bridgewater -- Julia Bronkhorst, an internationally acclaimed soprano, will perform in concert with Dr. Deborah Nemko, a concert pianist and member of the Bridgewater State College music faculty, on Wednesday, April 29 at 7:30 p.m. in Boyden Hall's Horace Mann Auditorium.
The duo will perform works by Henriette Bosmans, the most important female Dutch composer of the 20th century as well as works by Maurice Ravel and others.
Ms. Bronkhurst performs a wide repertoire of music and has participated in many opera productions. She has given many recitals in various places in Holland, Belgium and France and has appeared with orchestras in Prague (Monteverdi's Vespers of the Blessed Virgin), Munich and Vienna.
Dr. Deborah Nemko, an associate professor of music at Bridgewater State College, has appeared in concert throughout the United States, Great Britain, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Japan and Taiwan as both soloist and collaborative artist. She is on the faculty of the Division of Preparatory Studies of the New England Conservatory.
