Bridgewater -- The Graduate School and the Women's and Gender Studies Program at Bridgewater State College are pleased to announce a new Women's and Gender Studies Certificate Program. The inaugural event for this new program will feature a keynote address by Commissioner Ruth N. Bramson of the Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women.
This event will take place on Wednesday, April 29 from 3-5:00 p.m. in the Dunn Conference Center.
The Women's and Gender Studies Graduate Certificate is a fifteen credit program that offers students an array of interdisciplinary coursework in social work, business, psychology, criminal justice, political science, counseling, diversity, education, health, history and anthropology. Graduates of the Women's and Gender Studies Graduate Certificate program will be prepared to meet the challenges of today's contemporary, diverse workplace.
Ruth N. Bramson has spent her career advancing the leadership of women and continues this legacy as the first Chief Executive Officer of the Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts. In addition to her work with the MCSW, Ruth serves on the Advisory Board of Junior Achievement and on the Massachusetts Coalition for Equal Pay. Ruth received recognition for creating and chairing her nonprofit organization Suited for Success.
