BSC Students Present at Conference

Bridgewater -- Ms. Jacki Zarella of Marshfield, a member of the BSC Class of 2009 and Ms.Yvonne Estabrooks of Abington, a member of the BSC Class of 2010, joined faculty mentor Dr. Elizabeth Spievak, associate professor of psychology, to present their research at the New England League of Middle Schools (NELMS) 28th annual conference.

The conference, with approximately 2000 attendees, focused on improving student learning for young adolescents.

Their presentation was entitled "Bullying Lawsuits: What they tell Instructional Leaders about Communicating with Students and Advocates." The research was designed to explore sources of outrage against defendants in bullying cases and prompt discussion regarding suggestions for protocol and effective communication practices to prevent bullying lawsuits.
