Student Anderson Wise has qualified for the Beijing Paralympics, and this summer will try to bring home the gold in the powerlifting category.

Mr. Wise, a Needham resident, was born with spina bifida and uses a wheelchair. A regular in the Tinsley Center gym, as well as Gold's Gym in his hometown, he can bench 375 pounds, and for years has been one of the top-ranked Paralympic powerlifters in the world.

Previously, Mr. Wise has been profiled on the BSC homepage, as well as on the nationally syndicated radio show, Only a Game. Listen here.

Sunday's Boston Globe featured on its second page a profile of the BSC exercise science major by columnist Sam Allis. Read the full article here.
