BSU’s 6th
annual Mid-Year Symposium will
be held Wednesday, December 14, 2011.
The Mid-Year Symposium (MYS)—a showcase
of first- and second-year student research and creative work—will be held on the
last day of Fall semester classes, Wednesday, December 14, 2011, 8:00-4:00 in
the Rondileau Campus Center (RCC) Ballroom, 2nd-floor foyer, and meeting rooms. Each year, BSU’s Office of
Undergraduate Research (OUR) sponsors the MYS in celebration of faculty-mentored
undergraduate scholarship and creative work conducted by students in all
disciplines. First- and second-year undergraduate students of every major are
encouraged to participate. They can present individually or in groups, in a
variety of formats: academic poster, formal talk, video, performance, art
display, or slide presentation. The entire university community is invited, and
many faculty bring their classes to attend all or part of the day.
